Honda Malaysia (or the Company) announced an impressive achievement with the sale of more than 11,300 units of its flagship model, the 6th Generation CR-V. This outstanding result has enabled the model to achieve the No.1 Mid-Size SUV position in 2024, with a market share of 36% in the segment.
Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura said, “Since its launch in December 2023, the CR-V has received strong market acceptance, which further solidified its dominant position. This growing demand is reflected in its remarkable 40% year-on-year growth in its segment. Notably, the CR-V was the 3rd best-selling model in Honda Malaysia’s line-up in 2024. The introduction of the 2.0L e:HEV RS variant has energised the market and exceeded our expectations with a 20% contribution to the overall CR-V sales. In addition, within the Mid-Size SUV hybrid segment, the 2.0L e:HEV RS holds a commanding 87% market share. This highlights the market’s positive response to Honda’s advanced hybrid technology, even with the highly competitive landscape.”
